Suggested Names

During the course of the Reinvention project, several different names have been used for the system or major parts of it, including COLA (combined object/lambda abstractions?), Coke, Pepsi, Golden Box, FONC, Idst, and Jolt. This is confusing.

  • What about Ouroboros? It's a symbol depicting a snake eating its own tail. I think this is pretty appropriate for a system that is implemented from the ground up in itself (feeds on itself). Caveat: in the realm of computers, there is an X window manager with that same name. Would that create a naming conflict? - Hans-Martin
Not bad, maybe shortened to ouro (which means "gold" in Portuguese BTW) or boros? --DanAmelang 22:00, 8 June 2008 (PDT)
